I am a licensed Anat Baniel Method® NeuroMovement® practitioner. I help children and adults attain better strength, wellbeing, and vitality through guided physical movement. Using the amazing power of the brain to change itself, this science-based approach helps to transform our lives and enhance physical, cognitive, emotional and creative performance.

What is NeuroMovement? 

At the most basic level, Anat Baniel Method® (ABM) NeuroMovement® is a holistic method of using movement to improve brain function.

Physical movement is responsible for every function in the human body. Most obvious and visible is skeletal and muscular movement, but less obvious and arguably more critical is the movement required for performing vital tasks like passing blood, oxygen, chemicals, nutrients, and waste throughout the body. When we begin to understanding that emotion, thoughts and feelings, are actually the physical processes of the brain, we can begin to treat both physical and mental obstacles as two sides of the same coin.

This intuitive approach begins with the understanding that the brain cannot exist without the body and the body cannot exist without the brain. While exercise is widely prescribed as a broad spectrum treatment for improving physical and mental health, there is a tendency to separate and treat the brain apart from the body.

Through the use of guided movement, directed attention, and principles of neuroplasticity (that is the brains ability to adapt, learn, and change its physical shape) NeuroMovement provides your brain with new sensory and motor information, creating new neural pathways, thereby enhancing coordination & cognitive performance, diminishing chronic pain and improving strength and flexibility.

Private Sessions

Individual and private hands on lessons are delivered in a safe and gentle environment. Each session is customized to your functional needs. Lessons are a maximum of 45 minutes and are booked in bundles of two minimum.

For first-timers, I suggest doing 4-6 lessons (an intensive) in a cluster within a week to open up the opportunity for your brain to feel changes.  Depending on where you live in the Los Angeles area, I also offer the option of lessons in the privacy of your own home for an additional fee.

Group Movement Lessons

For those looking to learn more about the approach and its potential benefits, I offer group movement lessons. Through a guided movement lesson, you are verbally led through gentle movements to help wake up the brain to form new patterns that eliminate body pain and increase strength, flexibility and coordination. Lessons are sold in series of 3, 5 or 10, each focusing on a progression of bringing attention to specific areas of your body and movements.

Think of it as mediation with movement.

About Me

My journey with the Anat Baniel Method® NeuroMovement® started with my second son and in the search for solutions to help him. As I immersed myself more in the method and its benefits, and ultimately entered the training, I quickly realized the benefits went far beyond solely helping him, but also to help me, my family and everyone around me. My experience with Anat Baniel Method® NeuroMovement® has helped me to discover that there is always room for ALL of us to upgrade, and that there is great power in focusing on the POSSIBILITIES, not the LIMITATIONS. For me, the work has helped me emotionally, physically and cognitively and I look forward to helping you on this path to discovery as well!
